Is UVB light therapy at home safe?
Our lamps use narrowband 311 nm UVB, the wavelength used in dermatology clinics. Start with very short sessions, increase them gradually, always wear the protective goggles and follow the instructions in the box. If you take medication that makes your skin sensitive to light, or have a history of skin cancer, speak to your doctor or dermatologist first.
Which UVB lamp should I choose?
As a first lamp, most customers choose the Philips BU-1S – simple to use and our best seller. If you want a timer and precise dosing, choose the Philips BU-10; for the scalp, the Kernel KN-4003BL2. All UVB lamps
