Where Vitiligo Responds Best to UVB Therapy
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very high success
⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good response
⭐⭐ Slower repigmentation
⭐⭐⭐ Moderate response
Vitiligo on the face and neck often repigments the fastest because hair follicles contain melanocyte stem cells that help restore pigment.
Typical Repigmentation Timeline
Small pigment dots may appear
Visible repigmentation begins
Pigment areas gradually reconnect
Most Customers Use It for Months, Not Days
Home UVB therapy works best with consistent long-term use. Many customers notice the first signs of improvement within weeks, while older or more stubborn patches may require several months of regular treatment.
How to Use Your Dermalight 80R
Plug in the device and put on the UV protective goggles.
Initial Exposure:
Adults: 30 seconds
Children: 15 seconds
Treat 2–3 times per week. Always leave at least 48 hours between sessions.
Important: Only treat if redness from the previous session has completely faded.
- No redness: +20 seconds next time.
- Mild redness (Goal): Maintain current time.
- Strong redness: Skip sessions until healed, then reduce time by 20%.
- Typical exposure: 3–4 minutes per spot.
The Goal: Mild pink redness appearing 6–8 hours after exposure that fades by the next day.
